My favourite poetic cliché is of the tide and the beach. For those who claim unfamiliar, I’m sure you’re just forgetting. The words ingrained in grains of sand wash away when the tide rolls in. It removes and deletes as quickly as it’s written. Words like Lovers who write thoughts of passion and presence and future Fools who draw dicks.
